Tom Kelly has pursued a long, successful and award-winning career as a technical and business writer, marketer and publisher, during which he won two awards for editorial excellence. Having graduated first class in telecommunications and electronic technology from Norwood Technical College, London, England, he took courses magazine journalism at the Regent Street Polytechnic, marketing management at York University, Toronto, and small business management through the Self Management Group.

He has written for and edited business and technical magazines and journals in the U.K. and Canada covering electronics technology, computers and data processing, and employee benefits and health promotion. He was the editor and publisher of Canadian Controls & Instrumentation covering industrial automation, process control and measurement instrumentation. Most recently, he was editor of Canadian Facility Management and Design, where he developed an interest and expertise in ergonomics in the office and in environmentally-responsible practices in building construction and operation. Since the early 1990s, he has run his own small business, offering editorial consulting services for publishers and marketing communications services mainly for high-technology companies. He edited and contributed to magazines, developed marketing materials and wrote copy for web sites.

He has taught at Norwood Technical College, given presentations on business technology, marketing communications, and served on advisory committees to the Canadian School of Management and Ryerson University, Toronto.

Having acted on the amateur stage, Tom and his wife are avid theatre-goers.

Tom has read extensively on the social and historical background to the Bible, from which he has written a novel set in Gospel times, and is researching for another based on the life of King David.
